Dear Church Family,
As I am sure you are aware, on Monday March 23, 2020, Governor Kate Brown issued a stay at home order. This order is effective immediately and will stay in effect until further notice. The order prohibits the gathering of groups of all sizes so that we maintain safe social practices during this time. With the handing down of this order, we are cancelling our regularly scheduled gatherings including: Sunday School, Sunday Morning Worship, Sunday Night Small Group, Women’s Bible Study and Men’s Bible Study.
At this time, we will offer other ways to stay connected, including:
- A Sunday Morning Message from Pastor Ben made available through our
Facebook page and our website creswellnazarene.org
- An online Sunday School class through the Zoom Platform (Sundays at 10:30am)
- A mid-week Small Group through the Zoom Platform (Wednesdays at 6:00pm)
- Various engaging thoughts, songs, scriptures and conversation starters through
our Facebook page
- A Family Story Time on Mondays and Fridays at 6:00pm through our Facebook page
I understand that these are difficult times for many of us. As a church, we want to do our part to look out for those around us and to stay as engaged as possible. We invite you to interact with our Facebook posts (commenting, sharing, etc.) so that we might be an encouragement to others during this time. We also invite you to join us on the Zoom platform for Sunday School, Small Group or both. In the days ahead we will send you instructions and an invite through your email to join.
I appreciate your faithfulness in giving and supporting the ministry of Creswell Nazarene. We have made secure and easy online giving through PayPal available through our website. If you wish to give by check, please consider mailing it into the church.
I want to encourage you during these ever-changing days to find creative ways for relationship and connection, to be intentional about safely helping those around you, to spend time in worship, prayer and the Word. I also encourage you, like the Apostle Paul, to find reasons to rejoice. We all struggle with change and we have a choice to make regarding how we navigate the days ahead. Ask the Lord to do something new in your heart and life.
If there are questions or needs that arise, please reach out to myself or to Jewel Payne, our Church Board Secretary. I also encourage you to continue to share your prayer requests with Clint Fisk so that he can send out our weekly prayer email. I have included our contact information below.
It is a joy to serve as your pastor. Please know that we are praying for you and look forward to the day when we can gather together again. I am thanking God for what He will do in us and through us as a church during these uncertain times.
